• Hughes gets test in G1 American Pharoah (pastthewire.com) — Santa Anita Park in Arcadia hosts the Grade I American Pharoah Stakes this Saturday, where unbeaten 2-year-old Hughes will try two turns for the first time. The winner earns a fees-paid berth to the Breeders' Cup Juvenile, with several other promising colts from top trainers also entered.
   

• Fong Honors Educators and School Leaders Across the San Gabriel Valley (coloradoboulevard.net) — An Arcadia High School educator, Pin Chen, is among those honored with Assembly District 49's 2026 Outstanding Educator Awards recognizing standout teachers and school leaders across the San Gabriel Valley. Assemblymember Mike Fong highlights how these educators, including those from Arcadia Unified, strengthen local schools and help shape future community leaders.
   

• Mickey and Minnie Welcome Tournament of Roses Royal Court to Disneyland (laughingplace.com) — An Arcadia High School student, Daniela Guzman, has been selected to the Tournament of Roses Royal Court, whose first official outing included a celebratory visit to Disneyland. The Court, chosen for academics, leadership, and community involvement, will represent the region leading up to the iconic New Year's Day parade.
