• San Mateo County advances stricter e-bike rules after 4-year-old's death (rwcpulse.com) — San Mateo County supervisors have advanced a stricter e-bike ordinance, inspired in part by the 2025 crash that killed 4-year-old Ayden Fang outside a Burlingame restaurant. The measure, likely to be named after Ayden, would slow e-bikes on sidewalks, address high-speed "e-motos," and allow impounds, while offering safety education for minors. Burlingame residents are also rallying around Ayden's family through a community fundraiser.
