• Police nab Citrus Heights musical instrument thieves after seeking community help (sacbee.com) — Mesa Verde High School's band program in Citrus Heights is getting justice after police, aided by community tips, arrested two suspects accused of stealing more than $5,000 in instruments from the campus band room. Citrus Heights officers used social media, license plate reader alerts, and a trip to Anderson to track down the pair and recover additional evidence. 
• Healdsburg jewelry store burglary suspect arrested near Sacramento (nbcbayarea.com) — A man wanted in a downtown Healdsburg jewelry store burglary was arrested in Citrus Heights after fleeing from a suspect vehicle, with help from the Citrus Heights Police Department. Local officers assisted Healdsburg police in the Sept. 1 capture, uncovering evidence in the suspect's car and learning he had multiple outstanding felony warrants nationwide.
