• Coronado officially joins San Diego Community Power (thecoronadonews.com) — Coronado has joined San Diego Community Power, giving residents another option for buying electricity while SDG&E continues handling delivery and billing. City leaders expect cleaner energy sources and potentially lower rates, with about 12,000 local accounts slated to be integrated. If regulators approve the plan, Coronado customers could start receiving SDCP power in 2028.
