• Waymo Just Took a Crucial Step Toward Self-Driving Cars in the 925 Bay Area Telegraph (bayareatelegraph.com) — Danville is now officially included in Waymo's newly approved East Bay service area, clearing the way for future paid, driverless rides in town. While no launch date is set, state regulators have signed off on the company's safety plan, meaning robotaxis could arrive once mapping and testing on local streets are complete.
   

• 24 Freshmen Added to Cross Country and Track and Field Rosters (goseattleu.com) — A Danville student-athlete, Mateo Cafaro, is among 24 freshmen joining Seattle University's cross country and track and field teams this year. Cafaro, a former NCS Tri-Valley 3,200-meter champion, will study biology while competing in both sports as part of a large, multi-state recruiting class.
