• Queen bees have a disturbing way to survive pesticides (rocketnews.com) — UC Davis scientists have found that honeybee queens can offload accumulated pesticides into their eggs, a survival tactic that may quietly undermine colony health. Working with federal labs, the team used tiny "nanocolonies" and radioactive tracers to show how pesticide buildup can overwhelm worker‑bee defenses and potentially contribute to delayed colony collapse, with big implications for crop pollination.
