High Life Youth Art Exhibit To Return to Splatter in 2023
Following the success of the inaugural High Life Art Exhibit the event is scheduled to return to the Splatter Festival in 2023

The City of Dublin partnered with the Dublin Arts Collective to bring the "High Life" art exhibition to Splatter for the first time on September 10, 2022. Due to the success of the exhibit and the enthusiastic response from the community and young artists the event is slated to return to the festival next year while also extending the catchment area to youth from across the Tri-Valley.

The High Life Art Exhibition Reception was hosted by Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert and Dublin Mayor Melissa Hernandez with sponsorships from the City of Dublin, KeyPoint Credit Union and the Dublin Arts Collective. The exhibition took place inside The Wave at Emerald Glen Park and is likely to use the same indoor location for the follow-up event.

The goal of the “High Life” Art Exhibition is to foster artistic endeavor in young artists aged 14 and older (or in grades 9-12) considering creative careers and will be open to students enrolled in High School (public or private) including Tri-Valley Art Schools. The pilot event was restricted to the Dublin area and due to the excellent artwork submitted students from other Tri-Valley cities will now also be eligible to participate.

"We are thrilled that the City of Dublin and the County Supervisor's Office will support this exhibition again next year. It's a wonderful opportunity for high school artists to showcase their talents and meet their creative peers in this way. By making this announcement early we are giving young artists just under a year to prepare their entries for 2023," said Sawsan Wolski, DAC President.
