• Registration Open For Dublin Trails Challenge (patch.com) — Dublin residents can now sign up for the annual Dublin Trail Challenge, choosing either a 26-mile walk, hike, or run within the city or a 65-mile bike ride starting in town. The challenge runs Sept. 7 to Oct. 11, with miles logged via RaceJoy and commemorative t-shirts available for pickup Oct. 24 at Don Biddle Community Park.
   

• Aisha Wahab Wins Special Election to Succeed Swalwell (independentnews.com) — State Sen. Aisha Wahab has won the special election to replace Eric Swalwell in Congress, in a race shaped by big outside spending and sharp contrasts over Israel and Gaza. The campaign also hinged on housing, jobs, and public safety, with candidate Melissa Hernandez highlighting 26,000 newly added Dublin voters under redrawn district lines that will matter in November.
