• Only Escondido Charter came up winners - Escondido Times-Advocate (times-advocate.com) — Escondido Charter's White Tigers stayed perfect at 4–0 with a dominant 38–0 home win over Silver Valley, while other Escondido-area football teams struggled last week. Escondido High, Orange Glen, Classical Academy, and San Pasqual all took losses but now look ahead to key home and away matchups this Friday and early October that could turn their seasons around.
   

• RFK Jr. announces $51 million in dental grants at Escondido community clinic (sandiegouniontribune.com) — An Escondido Neighborhood health center just became the local face of a $51 million federal initiative to improve dental care for patients with neurodevelopmental disorders. Up to $2 million will help create a quieter, sensory-friendly clinic with specially trained staff, while national officials, including HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., also clarified that topical fluoride treatments will remain part of children's preventive care.
