Wells Fargo Celebrates Opening in Glendora

Nearly 40 members of the Glendora business community gathered in support of the new Wells Fargo location at 625 South Lone Hill Ave in Glendora last month.Ā 

Attending the ribbon cutting event were elected officials and other prominent members of the community,Ā including Glendora Mayor Judy Nelson, former Glendora MayorĀ Joe Santoro, formerĀ assemblymember Anthony Portantino,Ā andĀ representativeĀ Brian Mejia,Ā fromĀ Los AngelesĀ County SupervisorĀ Michael Antonovich’s office.

ā€œWells Fargo is happy to open a new location to better serve the people and businesses of Glendora,ā€ said Raphael Henderson, Wells Fargo North Hills vice president. ā€œAt Wells Fargo we know we can only be as strong as the strength of the community, so it is our goal to work with the chamber of commerce and local businesses to help create a thriving city for us all.ā€

At the event Wells Fargo introducedĀ Wells Fargo WorksĀ for Small Business,Ā a broad initiative to deliver resources, guidance and services to help more small businesses achieve financial success. With the new initiative, Wells Fargo is also announcing a goal to extend $100 billion in new lending to small businesses by 2018.

ā€œWeĀ knowĀ small businessesĀ are the engine that drive economic recovery, helping communitiesĀ to grow, add jobs and prosper,ā€ said Darryl Montgomery, Wells Fargo Eastern Gateway president. ā€œThrough Wells Fargo WorksĀ for Small BusinessĀ and our new lending goal, we want toĀ emphasizeĀ thatĀ Wells Fargo isĀ 100Ā percent in support of helping the smallĀ business communityĀ in Glendora,Ā and nationwide. We hope thatĀ small businesses will findĀ these newĀ tools and resourcesĀ valuable andĀ will enableĀ Wells FargoĀ toĀ fulfill our mission of helping all of our customers succeed financially.ā€
