• Peter Pan Foundation Celebrates 20 Years with 'The Never Grow Up Gala' Featuring Broadway's B Noel Thomas (contracosta.news) — Lafayette's Peter Pan Foundation will mark 20 years of youth theater and community service with its "Never Grow Up Gala" on October 17 at Creekside Commons on Carol Lane. The evening features dinner, cocktails, a silent auction, and Broadway performer B Noel Thomas, with proceeds supporting the Lafayette-based nonprofit's next chapter of service-through-performance programs for local families and kids.
   

• Brentwood, Orinda educators named Contra Costa Teachers of the Year (contracostaherald.com) — Contra Costa County has named two countywide Teachers of the Year and honored standout educators from every district, including Lafayette School District's Melissa Johnston of Spring Hill Elementary. The celebration in Concord highlighted how these teachers support students academically and emotionally, and Lafayette families can take pride that one of their own is among this year's district honorees.
