32-Year-Old RivCo Man Killed In Wrong-Way Crash: Police

HEMET, CA — A 32-year-old man was killed in a crash involving two vehicles in Hemet early Thursday morning, authorities announced on Friday.

Just before 12:15 a.m., police received a report of a crash near Domenigoni Parkway and Warren Road. Officers responded to the scene and found a silver SUV and a blue pickup truck that were involved in collision, according to the Hemet Police Department.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the SUV was traveling eastbound on Domenigoni Parkway on the wrong side of the road when it collided with the blue pickup truck, police said.

Jordan Fontenot, of Canyon Lake, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the pick-up truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. It was unclear if the driver of the pick-up truck sustained any injuries in the crash.

Police said impairment appeared to be a factor in the collision.
