Fire Destroys Single-Family Home In Lakeland Village

LAKELAND VILLAGE, CA — A single-family home in Lakeland Village was destroyed by fire Monday, and nearby brush was threatened before crews got the blaze under control.

The fire was reported at 3:19 p.m. in the 32600 block of Stoneman Street, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

Firefighters were unable to save the structure, which was completely destroyed by the flames.

Crews contained the fire and were expected to remain on scene for several hours to mop up hot spots.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
