Man Wounded In Central Long Beach Shooting
The shooter fled the scene before officers arrived, police said.
LONG BEACH, CA — A man suffered gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body Saturday in a shooting in the Central area of Long Beach.
The shooting was reported about 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Long Beach Boulevard and East Pacific Coast Highway, according to Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Jordan McGinley.
The shooter fled the scene before officers arrived, McGinley said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with an unknown amount of gunshot wounds and in unknown condition by ambulance. It was unclear if he was targeted in the shooting.
"Suspect information, circumstances and motive are under investigation," she said.

KCAL reported the shooting may have occurred outside a McDonald's restaurant in that area, with evidence markers placed in the parking lot.
