UPDATE: Long Beach Police Seek Public's Help Finding Missing At-Risk Man
Authorities had asked for the public's help in finding an at-risk Long Beach man who went missing Sunday morning.

UPDATE: Just before 11:30 am on April 20, the Long Beach Police Department announced that Vital had been safe and unharmed.
LONG BEACH, CA — Authorities are asking for the public's help finding an at-risk Long Beach man who went missing Sunday morning.
The man is 89-year-old Pedro Perez Vital, who lives on the 600 block of W. Hill Street.

"On April 19, 2026, at approximately 6:00 a.m., in the 600 block of W. Hill Street, it was discovered that Vital had left his residence on foot," the LBPD explained in a statement. "He has no cell phone and no other means of tracking. He has medical condition(s) and may become disoriented."
