• Milpitas police arrest pair after 300 pounds of stolen copper found (cbsnews.com) — Milpitas police arrested two women after finding about 300 pounds of suspected stolen copper wire, counterfeit money, and drug paraphernalia in a van on Sycamore Drive near McCarthy Boulevard. Officers responded Sunday evening to reports of loitering near a construction site, and investigators say copper theft can damage infrastructure and disrupt services across the community.
