• 'General Hospital' Actress To Headline Mission Viejo Walk Against Drugs (patch.com) — Mission Viejo residents can join the 38th annual Walk Against Drugs on Oct. 17, featuring local "General Hospital" actress and Mission Viejo High student Kayden Brenna Tokarski as keynote speaker. The morning rally, walk along La Paz Road and Oso Creek Trail, and Community Fair at Oso Viejo Community Park will include public safety displays, disaster preparedness resources, and chances to meet the young star.
   

• Bunads, Norwegian Waffles & More At Scandinavian Heritage Fair Underway In Mission Viejo (patch.com) — Mission Viejo's Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center will host the Scandinavian Heritage Fair on Oct. 10, inviting locals to explore Nordic culture through crafts, bunads, and traditional foods. The free event features demonstrations, vendors, and homemade specialties like Norwegian waffles, Danish æbleskiver, lefse, and more, while encouraging residents to share and discover family heritage connections.
