• Moorpark man accused of attempting to dissuade witness in Simi case (mercedsunstar.com) — Law enforcement say a Moorpark man already jailed in a Simi Valley child sex case is now accused of trying to dissuade witnesses, with search warrants served at a Moorpark address on Avenida Colonia. Investigators report finding evidence of alleged witness intimidation, and the man has pleaded not guilty. His next court hearing is set for August 25 in Ventura County Superior Court, and detectives are seeking additional information.
