• Sqwerv Expands Fall & Winter Tour Into 2027 (jambase.com) — Morro Bay is set to host Colorado jam band Sqwerv as part of their expanded fall and winter tour, with a California run that also includes Los Angeles and San Diego in December. The group is launching a new single this week and has already opened presales for tickets, giving local fans an early shot at seats. 
• Huge UK-based ship anchors off the coast of Pismo Beach. What's it up to? (fresnobee.com) — A massive 477-foot UK-based cable-laying ship has been working just offshore in San Luis Obispo County, recently moving from the coast of Morro Bay down toward Pismo Beach. The vessel is surveying the seafloor for undersea communication or power cables, similar to earlier work tied to the trans-Pacific JUNO fiber network.
