• Local Event: 11th Annual Mountain View Oktoberfest (patch.com) — Downtown Mountain View will turn into a Bavarian-style festival zone October 10–11, with a massive 200-foot tent on Castro Street, free admission, and family-friendly hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Expect German beer in steins, bratwurst, live bands, stein-holding and costume contests, dancing, and plenty of Gemütlichkeit right in the heart of Silicon Valley.
