Through a resolution at the League of California Cities, they're seeking a working group that could reshape how Sacramento balances housing goals with infrastructure, public safety, and long‑term community planning in Murrieta and beyond.
   

3. Fatal Collision Involving FedEx Truck and Motorcycle (myvalleynews.com) — A deadly collision between a FedEx truck and a motorcycle occurred Wednesday afternoon near Bella Vista Road and Glen Oaks Road, in the Murrieta-area road network. CHP and the Riverside County Sheriff's Office responded, with no major road closures immediately reported. Authorities are still investigating the cause and have not yet released the victim's identity.

IE Varsity's previews of the top high school football games Sept. 25 and Sept. 26 (pressenterprise.com) — Murrieta Valley fans can look forward to a big home matchup as the Nighthawks, now 2-2, host undefeated San Clemente with quarterback Ty Isaia back under center. The roundup also previews several other Inland high school football games this Friday and Saturday, with records, key players, and predictions to help you follow or attend the action.
   

5. Temecula Valley Genealogical Society president leaving legacy 'worthy of her tireless efforts' (pressenterprise.com) — A Vista Murrieta High School student, Kyanna "Goose" Segna, recently earned a $500 scholarship from the Temecula Valley Genealogical Society's annual essay contest, highlighting local teens' interest in family history. The society, based at Temecula's public library, is honoring longtime president Barbara Perez as she prepares to step down and invites residents to explore genealogy help sessions and an October showcase event.
