American Canyon Land Plan Faces Lawsuit Over Boundaries (patch.com) — Residents in Napa County may want to watch a fast-moving dispute over American Canyon's bid to annex 282 acres of former vineyard land near the city's northern edge. The plan, overseen by Napa LAFCO, could open new development areas and create an alternative route to Highway 29, but a Watson Ranch developer is suing, arguing the city skipped required voter approval and environmental review.
   

2. Watch: 2 Seriously Injured in Major Head-On Crash Near Calistoga (patch.com) — Drivers in northern Napa County faced major disruption after a head-on crash on Highway 29/128 near Calistoga injured three people and blocked both lanes Tuesday morning. Two victims suffered serious injuries requiring airlifts, in the same stretch where another recent collision sent eight people to local hospitals.
   

3. Delta Uncorks New Route From Wine Country (patch.com) — Napa Valley travelers now have a new way to reach and leave Wine Country, as Delta's Salt Lake City route to nearby Santa Rosa includes a free checked case of wine. Local business leaders say the service will boost tourism and economic activity across Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties, making it easier for visitors to taste, buy, and legally bring home Napa-area wines.

Cheapest gas stations in Napa (ttownmedia.com) — Drivers in Napa can compare regular gas prices across local stations, from Speedway Express on Silverado Trail and Costco on Riversound Way to several Shell, Chevron, ARCO, and Safeway locations in Napa and nearby American Canyon. The list ranks stations from lowest to highest price so you can quickly find the most affordable fill-up close to home.
   

5. Letter alleging sexual assault at Napa Valley College leads to investigation (pressdemocrat.com) — Napa Valley College is investigating an alleged sexual assault in campus housing and has referred the case to its Title IX office, while withholding details during the ongoing probe. In response to broader concerns about campus sexual violence, college leaders are hosting a town hall on Oct. 8 for students, faculty, and staff to discuss prevention resources and cultural change in Napa.
