• U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championships wows crowd in Oceanside (cbs8.com) — Adaptive surfers from around the world are competing in the U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championships on the north side of the Oceanside Pier this weekend, and residents are invited to come watch. With 80 athletes from 15 countries and local volunteers gaining hands-on experience, the event showcases both inspiring personal stories and Oceanside's growing role in inclusive surf culture.
   

• California farm recalls eggs because of possible salmonella (hanfordsentinel.com) — If you've recently bought organic Happy Hens eggs from Grocery Outlet or Frazier Farms in Oceanside, you may have products tied to a salmonella outbreak in San Diego County. State health officials say several lots were recalled after illnesses, and the eggs were sold at multiple regional chains. Residents are urged to stop eating the affected eggs and follow recall instructions once issued.
