Man, 63, Struck And Killed By SUV In Orange County: Police

GARDEN GROVE, CA — A 63-year-old man was struck and killed by an SUV in Orange County Tuesday.

Officers responded around 3:48 p.m. Tuesday on Chapman Avenue in Garden Grove in response to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian, police said.

Responding officers found a victim at the scene and took him to UCI Medical Center, where he died of his injuries, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.

Police said the man was struck by a Chevrolet Suburban on Chapman Avenue and that the driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with detectives assigned to the Neighborhood Traffic Unit as they conducted their investigation.
