• Pedro Point Headlands Wildfire Resilience and Evacuation Route Improvement Projects; Ace Trail and Hwy 1 Caltrans ROW Closures from October 6th to 16th, 2026, 7:00am to 4:30pm (coastsidebuzz.com) — Expect intermittent weekday closures on the future Ace Trail at Pedro Point Headlands from October 6–16, 2026, 7:00am–4:30pm, as crews remove hazardous vegetation near Pacifica to reduce wildfire risk. Caltrans and the San Mateo RCD will also thin brush along Highway 1 by Devil's Slide, a key evacuation route, which may bring daytime lane closures. Residents are encouraged to watch for posted signs, online updates, and potential traffic advisories.
