1 Man Killed, 1 Wounded In Shooting In Southeastern Riverside County
There were no arrests but homicide investigators were pursuing leads, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Alberto Loureiro.
SALTON SEA, CA — One man was killed and another wounded in a shooting Sunday in the North Shore community located along the Salton Sea in southeastern Riverside County.
Deputies responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon at 12:08 a.m. Sunday in the 98000 block of Surfside Avenue, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Alberto Loureiro.
They found the two men suffering from gunshot wounds and pronounced a 44-year-old man dead at the scene, Loureiro said. A 43-year-old man was taken by ambulance to a hospital with stable vital signs.

The deceased victim was later identified as Alberto Padron of Mecca, the sergeant said.
