THERMAL, CA — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle Tuesday in Thermal, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 6 a.m. Tuesday at 59th Avenue and Pierce Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency said a Honda motorcycle was traveling north on Pierce Street at an unconfirmed speed when it crashed into a Subaru sedan, which was traveling south on Pierce Street.

The male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Subaru was not injured.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
