The Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, America's nationwide knockout cup soccer competition for amateur and professional clubs, returns to San Ramon! San Ramon FC's men's senior team hosts Academica SC in an elimination match.
The winner stays alive in the competition and advances to round 3 of the tournament's four-round qualifying process.
Expect a competitive, tense match; there must be a winner! It's all on the line Saturday night in San Ramon for these clubs!
Kickoff will be at 6:30 PM at Tiffany Roberts Field at San Ramon Sports Park, located at 5261 East Branch Parkway, San Ramon.

About the 2027 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup
Did you know that last year San Ramon FC played in the same tournament as the San Jose Earthquakes, Sacramento Republic and many other US professional soccer clubs?
SRFC's men's team seeks to qualify anew for the 2027 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament proper. This is the 112th edition of the US Open Cup. The Cup's open entry process allows for US amateur teams to compete against US professional teams.
The qualifying process includes 155 amateur clubs in 29 states. Only 16 spots are available in the tournament proper.
SRFC Vies For Another Spot In the Tournament Proper
Last year San Ramon FC's men's senior team made history, becoming the first team in the greater Tri-Valley to earn a spot in any US Open Cup tournament. The team traveled to Phoenix back in March and played a match against USL Championship professional side Phoenix Rising FC.
About the USOC Qualifying Rounds 3 and 4 and Tournament Proper
For each round, the opponents and the home/away teams are decided after the previous round of matches are complete. There is no guarantee SRFC hosts another USOC match in San Ramon, so don't miss this one!
Round One: September 12 - 13
Round Two: October 3 - 4
Round Three: October 31 - November 1
Round Four: November 21 - 22
Teams that win all four rounds will qualify for one of 16 spots in the 2027 US Open Cup tournament proper, which begins play April 13-14, 2027.
