• SD County: Salmonella Found at Ramona Farm in Connection with Outbreak (10news.com) — Eggs from Happy Hens poultry farm in Ramona have been genetically linked to a Salmonella outbreak that has sickened 23 people across the county, including cases in Ramona itself. County officials say the farm has not yet voluntarily recalled its eggs and are urging residents to thoroughly cook eggs, discard cracked ones, and report any illness to local health authorities. 
• She Killed Her Husband. 24 Years Later, She Stabbed Her Firefighter Wife to Death (oxygen.com) — A woman has been sentenced to 36 years to life for fatally stabbing her firefighter wife inside their Ramona home in 2025, more than two decades after killing her husband. Prosecutors detailed disturbing Ring camera footage, a flight to Mexico, and the victim's long Cal Fire service, while the case renewed scrutiny of the killer's violent past and domestic abuse warning signs.
