Redlands Fall Food Drive Seeks Volunteers To Collect, Sort Donations
The family-friendly volunteer event will help replenish the pantry's supplies for the coming year
REDLANDS, CA — The Family Service Association of Redlands is seeking volunteers for its annual Fall Food Drive on Nov. 14, a community effort to collect and distribute thousands of pounds of food to local residents in need, the organization said.
In partnership with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Family Service Association will distribute 20,000 brown paper grocery bags throughout Redlands on Nov. 7. Residents can fill the bags with food donations for volunteers to collect the following week.
On Nov. 14, volunteers will pick up the filled bags and deliver them to the Family Service Association, where donations will be weighed, labeled, sorted, packaged and stocked in the organization's food pantry.
