Carjacking Suspect Sought By Rohnert Park Police (patch.com) — Rohnert Park residents are being asked to help police identify a man who allegedly shoved a Petaluma woman and stole her car outside the Office Depot on Rohnert Park Expressway. Officers pursued the vehicle with help from regional agencies before losing sight of it, later recovering it abandoned in Richmond and returning it to the owner while the suspect remains at large.
   

2. Rohnert Park Founder's Day Returns September (patch.com) — Rohnert Park residents can look forward to Founder's Day on Sept. 26, featuring a community parade, classic car show, cook-off, kids activities, and live music at the Rohnert Park Community Center. The city's Department of Public Safety will join the parade and host an emergency preparedness booth, offering resources, go bags, and safety tips while temporary lane closures affect Snyder Lane during the festivities.
   

3. Juvenile Arrested After Shooting at Rohnert Park Business (ca.gov) — Rohnert Park police used license plate recognition to quickly track down a vehicle after shots from a replica BB gun shattered a business window on Hunter Drive on August 29. Officers stopped the car on Arlen Drive, detained three juveniles, and arrested one on felony vandalism and imitation-firearm charges, with the youth booked into Los Guilicos Juvenile Detention Center.
   

4. Two Arrested in Rohnert Park Human Trafficking Operation Involving Minor (ksro.com) — Rohnert Park authorities arrested two men in a local human trafficking sting focused on the attempted purchase of commercial sex involving a minor. Both face felony charges related to communicating with and exploiting a minor, as part of an ongoing crackdown. Police stress that under state law, minors in these situations are treated as victims, not offenders.

Bill to help make Northern California wildfire survivors whole moves ahead after unanimous state Senate vote (mercurynews.com) — Northern California wildfire survivors may see new hope as AB 2700 advances, directing regulators to explore full restitution options for victims of PG&E‑sparked fires. The bill, backed by bipartisan lawmakers including Santa Rosa's Chris Rogers, follows years of partial payouts and was highlighted locally during a Sonoma State University legislative forum in Rohnert Park.
