• This California city just approved building the state's largest inland surf resort: spanning 32 acres, with a massive 5-acre lagoon and a 100-room hotel (secretlosangeles.com) — A massive new surf resort has been approved just north of Roseville in the Placer One development, bringing a five-acre wave lagoon, hotel, bungalows, and action-sports facilities. Construction could start in spring 2027 and wrap up by 2029, creating a major new recreation and tourism draw for South Placer residents.
