New Executive Director Announced for MOSAC (iheart.com) — Sacramento's SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity has named Carlos Gonzalez-Jaime as its new executive director, starting October 1, 2026, as the museum marks its five-year anniversary. He brings deep experience growing museums and nonprofits and plans a 100-day listening tour with Sacramento-area educators, partners, and community members to help shape MOSAC's next chapter.

Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District Reserve Firefighter in Mather, CA (sacbee.com) — The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District is recruiting Reserve Firefighters in Mather, with applications due by September 4 and preference for candidates living in the greater Sacramento region.
