11-Year-Old Girl Assaulted; Sexual Battery Suspect Remains At Large: Sheriff's Office

POWAY, CA — Authorities were searching for a man suspected of sexually battering an 11-year-old girl in Poway.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. Saturday near the 13400 block of Midland Road, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
The girl was with a friend at the time, who screamed for the suspect to stop, sheriff's officials said. The man then fled the scene.

Deputies searched the area but did not find the suspect, officials said. No other details about the incident were released.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, about 25-35 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build and complexion, and a bald or shaved head. He was last seen wearing black sunglasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt and black shorts.
