70-Year-Old Woman Suffers Brain Bleed After Being Hit By Car In San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 70-year-old woman suffered a brain bleed after she was struck by a car while crossing a street in San Diego's Fairmount Village neighborhood, police said.

The collision happened shortly after noon Saturday at 44th and Landis streets, according to the San Diego Police Department.

Police said a 36-year-old man driving a Chrysler 300 west on Landis Street stopped at a stop sign before turning left to head south on 44th Street. The driver struck the woman as she walked in the crosswalk, police said.

The woman was taken to a hospital with a brain bleed. Her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
