Brush Fire Sparks In Ramona Area

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

RAMONA, CA — A brush fire sparked Tuesday afternoon in the Ramona area.

The blaze, called the Highland5Fire, was reported in the 14000 block of Highland Valley Road, according to Cal Fire.

The fire burned five acres and briefly posed a structural threat before the forward rate of spread was stopped, officials said.
