1. 'The Pearl' gets support, heads to La Jolla Community Planning Association for full review (sandiegouniontribune.com) — A new mixed-use project called The Pearl is moving forward in La Jolla after a key committee recommended that the City of San Diego approve it, including requested code incentives and waivers. The plan would replace a Pearl Street commercial building with six housing units, retail space, and underground parking, while another Box Canyon Road home rebuild also won support. Both projects now advance to further city review.
   

2. San Diego County continues Lindo Lake revitalization project (cbs8.com) — San Diego County is kicking off the next phase of its Lindo Lake restoration in Lakeside this week, temporarily closing the West Basin and parts of North Lakeshore Drive to deepen the lake and improve habitat. Backed by a $2 million San Diego River Conservancy grant, the project will add native plants, new trails, a fishing pier and a boathouse bridge, with work expected to wrap by winter 2027.
   

3. More than 100 volunteers clear brush at NTC Park to reduce wildfire risk in San Diego (10news.com) — More than 100 volunteers spent Sunday clearing dry brush at NTC Park in Liberty Station, aiming to reduce wildfire risk for nearby San Diego military families and neighbors. Organized with ASEZ WAO and the city, the effort targets vegetation that can rapidly spread fires, part of ongoing monthly cleanups across San Diego County after 22 fires so far this year.
