Missing 22-Year-Old Man Last Seen in San Fernando Sought by Authorities (mynewsla.com) — Authorities are asking San Fernando–area residents to help find 22-year-old Alejandro Asael Munoz, last seen Saturday morning on the 700 block of Harding Avenue. Family members are increasingly worried, and officials say he may be driving a white 2008 Mercedes C300; anyone with information is urged to contact the Sheriff's Missing Persons Detail or Crime Stoppers.

Mission San Fernando Rey de España (town.news) — Mission San Fernando Rey de España is open daily for self-guided tours, starting at the gift shop on San Fernando Mission Boulevard, giving locals an easy way to explore Valley history. With school group tours, restrooms and a shaded lunch area available, the mission and its archival center aim to preserve California's Catholic heritage while welcoming everyday visitors.
   

3. SFV Women Gather for First Annual Women's Empowerment Symposium (sanfernandosun.com) — Women from across the San Fernando Valley gathered at Mission City Church in the City of San Fernando for a free empowerment symposium focused on education, wellness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Organized by Living for Purpose, the event connected attendees with speakers, local resources and vendors, and highlighted ongoing programs supporting women, families and unhoused residents across Los Angeles County.
   

4. Skanska JV Wins $2.43B East San Fernando Valley Rail Contract (constructionowners.com) — A $2.43 billion light rail line is moving forward through the East San Fernando Valley, adding 6.7 miles of track and 11 stations along Van Nuys Boulevard. The project, already under construction and running through communities like Panorama City, Arleta and Pacoima, aims to better connect Valley residents with the wider Los Angeles transit network by 2031.
   

5. Congresswoman Luz Rivas Secures $850,000 in Funding for Pacoima Wash Improvements (sanfernandosun.com) — New federal funding will upgrade six bridges over the Pacoima Wash in the Northeast San Fernando Valley, improving safety for people who walk, drive, and live nearby. Congresswoman Luz Rivas and Councilmember Imelda Padilla say the $850,000 will pay for steel plate enclosures, girder repairs, and stronger fencing to reduce fire, health, and safety hazards for residents and unhoused neighbors.
