SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday, Sunday and Monday to prepare you for Tuesday.

But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect very hot conditions to continue this week in the wake of Hurricane Marie.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory, warning of dangerous heat reaching triple digits in interior areas by mid-week. The heat advisory is in place for Wednesday and Thursday when communities such as Pleasanton could see highs topping 100 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The heat will even hit communities closer to the coast, where Mill Valley will see highs in the upper 80s and Novato could hit 98 degrees Wednesday.
