Stolen Mini Labradoodle Reunited With Owner In SF: Police

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Two people were arrested Wednesday in connection with the theft of a small dog in San Francisco, police said.

The owner tied up her mini labradoodle, Easton, outside near Lombard and Webster streets around 5:45 p.m. while she entered a daycare center, police said.

When she exited, Easton was gone, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

Video shared by the San Francisco Police Department shows two people with a cart passing by a shop. Easton can be seen on top of the cart.

"Responding officers immediately began searching the area and issued a department-wide notification," police said.

Nearly two hours later, investigators tracked Easton to the 200 block of Golden Gate Avenue, where they saw the suspects and dog emerging from a door, police said.

Officers took the dog and reunited it with its owner, police said. Police can be heard telling the suspects in the video that they were under arrest, although it's unclear what charges they could potentially face.
