Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In NorCal

SACRAMENTO, CA — One California Lottery player tested their luck this weekend and ended up with nearly $1,000,000.

A winning Powerball ticket was sold at an Arco gas station at 3501 Fair Oaks Blvd. in Sacramento, according to California Lottery officials. The winner's name was not revealed.

The winner's ticket matched five numbers — 4, 26, 66, 67 and 69 — to win $820,520. The odds of hitting five of five were 1 in 11.6 million, according to California Lottery officials.

The Powerball jackpot reached $1.04 billion on Wednesday, the eighth-largest in Powerball history.

The odds of winning that jackpot were 1 in 292.2 million, according to California Lottery officials.

That winning ticket was sold at a Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh gas station in Quincy, Illinois. It matched all six numbers—4, 26, 66, 67, 69 and Powerball 9. The Power Play multiplier was 2.

The winner will be able to choose to receive the prize in 30 annual payments over 29 years or a lump-sum payment of $450.5 million.

Before that, the last Powerball jackpot was won on May 2. Now, the jackpot will reset to $20 million for the Saturday drawing.
