• Lawmakers Work to Save National Archives & Historic Records (house.gov) — San Bruno's National Archives facility is at risk of closure, and Rep. Kevin Mullin has introduced federal legislation to require Congress's approval before any archives are shut down or moved. Lawmakers and community groups stress how vital the San Bruno archives are for preserving immigration, Tribal, and civil rights history for California and Pacific communities. Their push aims to keep these irreplaceable records accessible locally.
   

• Submit Applications for Community Grants Program (California) (fundsforngos.org) — Nonprofits and public agencies that serve San Bruno residents can now apply for Peninsula Health Care District's Community Grants Program, with applications due August 26, 2026. Funding supports projects that boost mental health, preventive care, healthy aging, and safety-net services like dental care and Medi-Cal navigation.
