• 4 Arrested After Attempted San Mateo Robbery Sparks Bay Area Search: Police (patch.com) — San Mateo police say an attempted robbery in the city on Thursday led to a multi-agency pursuit that stretched across the Bay Area and ended with four people arrested in Emeryville. Officers first alerted the public to a suspect silver Audi crossing the San Mateo Bridge, then coordinated with Alameda County deputies and other agencies to track two vehicles by air and ground before making the arrests.

• California appellate court overturns pimping, trafficking conviction of East Palo Alto man (mercurynews.com) — An appeals court has overturned a human trafficking and pimping conviction and sent the case back to San Mateo County, where prosecutors have 60 days to decide whether to retry it. The defendant will remain in custody while a judge reviews his status, and his attorney is seeking an order to return him to the San Mateo County jail.
