• Driver arrested after bicyclist killed in Santa Cruz County crash (ksbw.com) — A bicyclist died after colliding with a truck Friday afternoon on Soquel Drive near Porter Street in Santa Cruz County, and the driver was arrested as CHP investigates possible alcohol or drug involvement. The cyclist later died at the hospital and has not yet been identified, and officers are asking anyone who saw the crash to contact CHP dispatch with information.
   

• Tariffs proving to be bitter taste for sprinkles (arkansasonline.com) — A Santa Cruz ice cream shop owner is grappling with uncertainty as new U.S.-Canada tariffs threaten the cost of the specialty sprinkles he imports from a Toronto supplier. While the latest 50% tariff hasn't yet hit his favorite confections, shifting trade rules and earlier changes to duty-free thresholds are already squeezing small businesses on both sides of the border.
