15 Freeway On-Ramp In Temecula Closed After Semi Turns Over: CHP
Authorities said about one in five fatal large-truck crashes involves a rollover.

TEMECULA, CA — The northbound Winchester Road on-ramp to the northbound 15 Freeway was closed Friday morning after a big rig turned over, spilling hay bales into the road, authorities said.
Around 8:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported a trailer was hauling hay bales, which came off the vehicle and blocked the roadway after the semi turned over, prompting the closure of northbound Winchester Road.
Authorities said the trailer must be turned over and the remaining bales in the road had to be picked up before the ramp could reopen.

"An upside-down hay trailer is a slow cleanup; about one in five fatal large-truck crashes involves a rollover, and spilled cargo turns a tow into a multi-hour job," CHP officials said.
Motorists were advised to expect delays and use an alternate on-ramp to access the 15 Freeway. They were also advised to not try to maneuver past the bales in the road or the closure.
