'A Miracle': Pregnant Woman Escapes Serious Injury When Metal Bar Smashes Through Her Windshield On I-15
The woman, who is pregnant with twins, was nearing Temecula's Winchester Road when the bar penetrated her windshield and struck her abdomen.

TEMECULA, CA — A pregnant woman driving a commercial van on Interstate 15 near Temecula escaped serious injury last week after a metal bar fell from a truck, smashed through her windshield, and struck her in the abdomen.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, on northbound I-15, just south of Winchester Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman, who is pregnant with twins, was driving a Ram ProMaster in the second-to-right lane when the bar penetrated her windshield. The metal fell from a truck ahead of the woman, and that driver did not stop, according to the CHP.

"In what can only be described as a miracle, the woman sustained only minor injuries, and the twins are reported to be fine," the CHP reported.
