• Alameda County DA, 29 other jurisdictions reach $3.15 million settlement with Terminix (eastbaytimes.com) — Union City residents should know that Terminix facilities in Hayward, Pleasanton and Union City were part of a statewide investigation into illegal pesticide and hazardous waste disposal. Alameda County's district attorney helped secure a $3.15 million settlement, with $160,000 coming to the county and new compliance measures required from the company.
