• Silk Road Restaurant In Walnut Creek Temporarily Closed After Cockroaches Found Throughout Restaurant (claycord.com) — A popular downtown Walnut Creek restaurant, Silk Road Cafe on North Main Street, was temporarily shut down after county health inspectors found live and dead cockroaches throughout the premises during multiple inspections. Officials also cited food-safety and sanitation issues, keeping the cafe closed until pest control, deep cleaning, and repairs were completed. The restaurant has since passed reinspection and been allowed to reopen to customers.
