• Make some hay for horse rescues with a 'Joey's Home Sundae' at Mojave Freeze 9/14 – 9/28 (z1077fm.com) — A two-week fundraiser starting today at Mojave Freeze in Yucca Valley will send two dollars from every special Joey's Home Sundae to Joey's Home, a Morongo Basin horse and donkey rescue. Locals can meet Neon the miniature horse at today's 2–6 p.m. kickoff, learn about low-judgment surrender options for animals, and explore future volunteer and healing-focused programs with the rescue.
   

• Yucca Valley Town Council agenda: Pickleball courts, Youth Commission, fleet and finance updates (z1077fm.com) — Yucca Valley residents can weigh in tonight as the Town Council meets at 5 p.m. at the Yucca Valley Community Center to finalize the new pickleball courts, end the high school pool lease ahead of the Aquatics and Recreation Center, and expand the Youth Commission. Councilmembers will also review the town's vehicle fleet and consider a $1.3 million, 10-year software subscription.
   

• Edmonds Rider Killed in Yucca Valley Crash on SR-247 (pacificattorneygroup.com) — A 69-year-old motorcyclist from Washington state died after a Thursday afternoon collision between a motorcycle and a car at State Route 247 and Winters Road in Yucca Valley. The rider was taken to a hospital but later pronounced dead, and the California Highway Patrol is still investigating how the crash happened and whether anyone in the car was injured.
