Branford Community Foundation’s 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament Raises $36K+
Some 90 golfers gathered at the Pine Orchard Yacht and Country Club in Branford for the 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Sept. 29.
BRANFORD, CT — More than 90 gathered at the Pine Orchard Yacht and Country Club in Branford for the 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament Sept. 29. The event supports the Branford Community Foundation.
With a sold-out tournament, practically perfect weather, and a
stunning course on which to play, the fundraiser was an all-around success—and raised over $36,000 for the Foundation.
"We are so grateful for the support and turnout we received at our third annual charity golf tournament, again presented by Thimble Island Private Wealth,” said BCF Executive Director Liza Janssen Petra.

"Thank you to everyone who played in the tournament, joined us for dinner, was a sponsor or prize donor, or contributed during the event. Every dollar raised ensures that we can continue to provide for the educational, cultural, health, social, and civic needs of our community."
The day kicked off with registration, putting in practice, and driving at the range before participants enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by the Pine Orchard Yacht and Country Club staff. The tournament officially began with a shotgun start, followed by an afternoon of friendly competition. A lively buffet dinner, awards, and the pulling of the prize drawing winners rounded out the evening as golfers and attendees listened to remarks from Petra, Thimble Island Private Wealth Managing Director Logan J. Reed, and BCF Board member Matthew C. Fleming. Thimble Island Private Wealth presented the event.
